A red wine sauce for topping tempeh steaks! (or regular steaks, if it's more your style)

Recipe Ingredients for Mushroom Wine Sauce

1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tbs Extra-virgin olive oil
40 g whole shallots, minced
4 oz crimini mushrooms
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 g sea salt
1 dash freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup Red Wine
1/4 cup vegetable broth

Recipe Directions for Mushroom Wine Sauce

  1. Melt butter and olive oil; add shallots and stir until softened.

  2. Add mushrooms and thyme. Continue to saute until just soft.

  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper, stirring in red wine and vegetable broth a little at a time. Cook until lightly thickened.
