Recipe Ingredients for mushroom stroganoff

1 yellow onion
16 oz fresh mushrooms
4 cloves garlic
3 tbs balsamic vinegar
1 can cream of mushroom soup
16 oz whole wheat egg noodles
4 tbs whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for mushroom stroganoff

  1. 1. Cook the onion in a nonstick skillet on high heat for 3 minutes.

  2. 2. Add the sliced mushrooms and garlic, then cook until the mushrooms begin to release their juices.

  3. 3. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms.

  4. 4. Stir continuously with a whisk or wooden spoon until the flour is evenly dissolved.

  5. 5. Add the vinegar and milk substitute, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.

  6. 6. Add the thyme to taste. Serve warm over cooked noodles.
