Great on toast, pita, or thin crackers. Use as a side/sauce for pasta. Serve as a dip for veggies!

Recipe Ingredients for Mushroom pate

1 pound mushrooms, chopped
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion
1 oz 1 - 2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
1 tablespoons water or stock
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 Serving 1 T Sherry
1 salt
1 pepper

Recipe Directions for Mushroom pate

  1. In a skillet sautÚ mushrooms, cognac, and garlic till they are lightly caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Season lightly wish salt and pepper. Add the fresh thyme and sautÚ for another 2 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and transfer to a food processor. Add the nuts and blend until smooth. Use a little water or stock to thin the mixture if necessary.

  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
