Mushroom Parmesan Recipe

It is sometimes hard to find large portobello mushrooms, so I used 12 small ones.

Recipe Ingredients for Mushroom Parmesan

1 T. olive oil
6 large mushrooms (portobello)
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup reduced fat mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 T. butter

Recipe Directions for Mushroom Parmesan

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Drizzle oil over both sides of mushrooms.

  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Place under broiler until mushrooms are heated through.

  5. Spread 1/2 of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9X13 pan.

  6. Place mushrooms on top and add remaining marinara sauce.

  7. Sprinkle with cheeses and top with butter pieces.

  8. Bake until cheese melts and top is golden; about 15 minutes.
