224 grams Lentils, Mature Seeds
1/4 tsp Salt, Table
1 oz Dried Porcini Mushrooms
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
1 medium raw Carrots
1 1/2 tbsp Sage, Ground
1 teaspoon Thyme
1 cloves, raw Garlic
10 grams Flour, All Purpose
4 potatoes New Potatoes
4 tsp Soy Sauce
18 grams Tomato Puree
1 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
0.33 cup Cornmeal, Degermed, Enriched, Yellow
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt, Table
4 tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
2 oz Gouda Cheese

Recipe Directions for Mushroom and Lentil pot pie with Gouda Biscuits

  1. Cook mushrooms, carrots, onions and herbs 4 minutes. Add garlic, then flour and then porcini soaking liquid. Mix in porcini, potatoes, soy sauce and tomato puree. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add lentils.

  2. Make biscuits by cutting chilled butter into mixed flour, cornmeal, salt and baking powder. Add grated gouda cheese. Then mix in milk to bind. Roll out to 1" thick and cut out biscuits. Cover mushroom and lentil filling in baking dishes and put in preheated 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through
