Recipe Ingredients for mushroom chili or pasta base

12 ounces mushrooms, portobello,chopped
15 ounces tomatoes, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 cup carrot,chopped
1 large red bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 1/2 cups water
4 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon sugar

Recipe Directions for mushroom chili or pasta base

  1. simmer up veg in oil

  2. add tomato, tomato paste, water and sugar

  3. season to taste

  4. simmer 30 minutes

  5. let stand 10 minutes
