Which muscles burn the most calories?

I've heard that when you are trying to lose weight, you should focus your weightlifting on your leg and butt muscles since they are the largest muscles and thus burn more calories during and after exercise (while the muscle is rebuilding). Is this true or is there something else I should be doing?
Actually, the muscles of the heart and diaphragm burn the most calories because they are working every minute.... But, yes, the large muscles of the thighs, butt and legs burn a lot of calories when they work. In fact, exercises that use the large muscles of the body in a continuous, rhythmical fashion and raise the heart rate, such as walking, jogging, stair climbing and speed-skating, burn more calories compared to other forms of exercise. For strength-training, be sure to balance the upper and lower body. But building up your lower body to burn more calories at rest is another issue. To burn during rest, you must exercise long and hard. It's better to be more concerned with burning calories through activity than during rest.
