Crusty baguette containing any desired grain. Either add 2 T of another grain or replace one of the ones listed. I add dried Italian herbs to grain mixture the night before and onion flakes & garlic powder with the white flour.

Recipe Ingredients for Multigrain Baguette

0.5 oz Wheat Germ, Toasted, Plain
0.5 cup Cereal
0.5 tbsp Sesame Seeds
1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 oz Yeast
2 cup Enriched Unbleached White Flour
0.5 oz Barley Flour Or Meal
0.5 tbsp Vital Wheat Gluten
2 tbsp Cornmeal
2 tbsp Milled Flax Seed
1.517 oz Quinoa

Recipe Directions for Multigrain Baguette

  1. Mix grains & 3/4 C warm water & let set over night.

  2. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 C warm water

  3. Add 1/2 C hot water to grain mixture & mix into a dough.

  4. Add yeast, 2 tsp salt, and 1 C white flour & mix

  5. Knead in remaining flour

  6. Let rise till double

  7. Form into 3 baguettes. Let rise till double

  8. Lightly brush on egg wash

  9. Bake at 450 degrees 25-35 minutes
