Recipe Ingredients for Multi-Grain Waffles

2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup oatmeal
2/3 cup wheat flour, whole-grain
2/3 cup flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Multi-Grain Waffles

  1. Mix buttermilk and oatmeal, let sit for 15 minutes.

  2. Combine flours, cornmeal, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon.

  3. Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla; add to buttermilk mixture.

  4. Add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined.

  5. Prepare according to waffle maker instructions.
