Recipe Ingredients for Mulligatawny Soup

0.5 cup, chopped Onions
2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1 medium Carrots
4 tbsp Light Butter Salted
0.13 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
29 oz Chicken 33% Less Sodium Broth Rtsb
0.5 medium apple Apples
1/4 cup White Basmati Rice
8 oz Chicken, Breast, Meat Only
0.13 Teaspoon Thyme
0.5 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
3 tsp Curry Powder

Recipe Directions for Mulligatawny Soup

  1. Saute onions, celery, corrot, and butter in a large soup pot. Add flour and curry, and cook 5 more minutes. Add chicken broth, mix well, and bring to a boil. Simmer about 1/2 hour.

  2. Add apple, rice, chicken, and thyme. Simmer 15-20 minutes, or until rice is done.

  3. When serving, add milk.
