satisfying - lentils and rice. surprisingly good for being so simple

Recipe Ingredients for Mujadarrah

1 c. brown rice, uncooked
2 c. lentils, uncooked
1 large onion
1 tbs. olive oil
1 tsp. cumin seed
8 tbs. lemon juice
3 tbs. olive oil
1 dash paprika
2 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. honey

Recipe Directions for Mujadarrah

Toast the cumin seed briefly in the olive oil. Add onion and saute. Add rice and toast. Add lentils and about 4 cups water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook until done (about 20 min). Serve topped with a salad (cucumber, lettuce, radish) and a simple dressing made of lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, garlic, a touch of honey.
