Makes 60 servings



Large recipe--freezes well. Each serving is about 1/2 c. Best when soaked overnight in milk &/or yogurt & eaten for breakfast. Sweeten if you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Muesli

12 c rolled oats
2 c rolled wheat flakes
2 c rolled barley flakes
2 c rolled rye flakes
1 c toasted wheat germ
1 c ground flax seed
1 c chopped dates
1 c raisins
1/2 c currants
1 c dried cranberries
119 g (1 c) chopped pecans
100 g (1 c) chopped almonds
1 c chopped walnuts
1 c chopped cashews
1/2 c organic dried coconut
72 g (1/2 c) sunflower seeds
1/2 c pumpkin seeds

Recipe Directions for Muesli

  1. Toast the nuts, seeds and coconut, if you like. Bake in a 350 degree oven, stirring every 5 minutes until browned and aromatic. Roast coconut separately and watch carefully so don't burn it. Let roasted items cool completely.

  2. Mix all ingredients in very large bowl. Store in air tight containers and freeze what you won't eat in a week or two. Nuts go rancid at room temp!

  3. Can also add 1/2 c malted milk powder if you like (barryfarms.com).
