A low glycemic homemade cereal that is delicious and nutritious. It can be eaten by itself or with milk. I add a little xylitol if I use any kind of milk.

Recipe Ingredients for Muesli Cereal

6 cups rolled oats
1 1/4 cups almonds,sliced toasted
1/2 cup sunflower seeds,raw
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds,raw
1/4 cup raisins
8 prunes,diced
10 apricots,dehydrated diced
3 tbsp flax seeds , ground
2 tbsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Muesli Cereal

  1. Toast oats in a 275 oven until golden brown. Can take a couple of hours. If you use more heat, check often and stir occasionally.

  2. In a large bowl, mix cooled oats, almonds, chopped fruit, the ground flax and cinnamon and seeds. Use your hands and mix until everything is evenly distributed.

  3. Transfer to a large storage container.

  4. Store in refridgerator.
