Tasty main dish, made the low-fat way!

Recipe Ingredients for MrsDustbagC's Turkey Meatloaf

1 pounds ground turkey
1 slice whole wheat bread, cubed
1 large egg
1/4 cups skim milk
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 cups brown mushrooms, sliced thinly
1/2 teaspoons garlic
1/4 diced yellow onion

Recipe Directions for MrsDustbagC's Turkey Meatloaf

Put ground turkey in large bowl, cube up and add bread (I use whole grain bread); dice onion, add to turkey. I use powdered garlic with parsley, use garlic of your choice. Add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper, to taste. Add milk and egg, and using your hands, mix the turkey, bread, egg and milk mixture. Spray a standard size bread loaf pan with "Pam" or other spray. Put half the turkey meat mixture in the pan, spread with the thinly sliced Crimini or Portabella mushrooms, top with remaining turkey meat mixture. I also use a product called "Better Than Bouillon" Turkey, a paste made from real turkey, I add it to the meat mixture before mixing. Adds more flavor. Bake at 350 degrees until meat thermometer says about 175 degrees. Remove from oven and let "rest" for about 10-15 minutes. I serve with a mushroom gravy over the top.
