Modified high calorie granola bar recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Mrs. Jackson's Hi-Energy Granola Bars

3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
93 grams raw almonds
1 cup dates
1/3 cup molasses

Recipe Directions for Mrs. Jackson's Hi-Energy Granola Bars

  1. Mix quick oats and wheat germ together. Chop or grate almonds and place in oats mixture. Puree dates by first boiling them in water and blending them smooth. I found that mixing the molasses with them in the blender worked well.

  2. Mix the date mixture with the oat mixture by "cutting" and folding, as in using a cutting pattern with a spatula or big spoon. Press mixture into a glass pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes.
