Recipe Ingredients for Mrs. Coker's Raisin Scones

3 cup Gold Medal Self-Rising Flour
8 tbsp Salted Butter
0.33 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 cup Whole Buttermilk
1 cup Raisins
1/10 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
1/4 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
6 tsp Sugars, Granulated

Recipe Directions for Mrs. Coker's Raisin Scones

  1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, and nutmeg. Cut in cold butter. If you don't have a pastry cutter, you can use two knives. Add raisins to coat with flour mixture. Make a well in center, add buttermilk and gently fold into flour, until flour is absorbed. Divide dough in half. On a floured surface, lightly pat dough into an 8" circle. Cut into 8 wedges. Place on greased cookie sheet. Do same with other half of dough. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.

  2. Bake at 400 for 18-20 min.
