Recipe Ingredients for Mozz & Basil Stuffed Pork Chops

15 oz Pork, Fresh, Loin, Sirloin (Chops), Bone-in
2 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp Seasoning Blend
0.75 cup Mahatma Jasmine Enriched Thai Fragrant Long Grain Rice
8 fl oz Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth
0.5 Glass Water
0.5 cup Parmesan, Grated Cheese
1 oz Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk Cheese
4 tbsp Basil, Fresh
1 clove Garlic

Recipe Directions for Mozz & Basil Stuffed Pork Chops

  1. In large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium high heat, add pork chops. Brown chops on each side. Remove from heat, place in baking dish. Put in oven at 350 degrees F for one hour, turning over half way through. (Season with Mrs. Dash to taste).

  2. In sauce pan, heat 1/2 cup water and 1 cup chicken broth until just before it boils. Turn heat to low, add rice and stir for 1 minute. Put on lid and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, let sit, covered for 10 more minutes. Fluff rice with fork.

  3. Add Parmesan, Mozzarella, basil and garlic to rice, stir and let sit.

  4. Serve rice next to pork chops (yeah, I know the recipe says stuffed pork chops, but that's a pain).
