Mousaka, or mnazeleh, arabic style

Recipe Ingredients for Mousaka

3 eggplants, grilled
2 cups tomato juice
250 grams minced beef
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 onion
2 tbsp oil
3 tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Mousaka

  1. slice eggplants, length wise

  2. grill sliced eggplant, set aside

  3. dice onion, saute

  4. add minced meat to onion

  5. add salt and pepper and spices

  6. add 1/2 cup hommemade tomato juice

  7. in pan, layer eggplants, meat mixture

  8. top with sliced tomatoes and rest of juice

  9. bake in oven for 45 minutes on meduim
