Start your day off right with all the nutrients a body can use to hum along happily and healthfully. This one is not exceedingly sweet, and it's probably not a beginner's green smoothie. But holy cow it's got great stuff in it! The honey definitely helps, and it's a good, natural sweetener. Can substitute a peach or nectarine for the honey for equivalent sweetness. 1 Serving = 1 true pint (filled to the top)

Recipe Ingredients for Morning Green Smoothie (with sprouts)

1 cup alfalfa sprouts
2 bananas
1/2 cup yogurt, plain
3 tablespoons flax seeds
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup kale
2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Morning Green Smoothie (with sprouts)

  1. Put it all in a high power blender (water first, leaves last).

  2. Don't include the fruit seeds.

  3. I highly... pero HIGHLY recommend the Blendtec Total Blender for this. No, I don't work for them. It's just too much awesomeness for one blender, in my opinion. Absurdly expensive? Sadly, yes. But I swear it's worth every penny.

  4. Aside from the 1-touch fire-and-forget blending process, it's also got 3.0 Hp and auto-varying high speed blades. This translates to a much smoother blend than a typical blender would be able to produce.

  5. Google it. Try searching the phrase "Will it Blend?" Trust me on this one.
