Recipe Ingredients for morning bran muffins

2 cups boiling water
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup applesauce
4 eggs
5 cups flour
5 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 quart lowfat buttermilk
1 cups raisins
2 cups wheat bran
4 cups All Bran cereal

Recipe Directions for morning bran muffins

  1. Mix together and let cool:

  2. 2 cups 100% wheat or oat bran

  3. 2 cups boiling water

  4. cream:

  5. sugar, applesauce, eggs

  6. stir in:

  7. sifted flour, soda, salt, 4 cups all bran cereal, buttermilk and raisins

  8. place in a 1 gallon covered container and store in refrigerator. When ready to bake, DO NOT STIR DOWN.

  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.
