Moosewood Cooking for Health Granola

Recipe Ingredients for Moosewood Cooking for Health Granola

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp. Sea Salt
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup chopped walnuts
6 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup shredded coconut
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Moosewood Cooking for Health Granola

  1. In a small saucepan on low heat, warm the oil, honey or syrup, and salt. Stir the vanilla.

  2. Place the nuts, oats, coconut, and seeds in a large bowl and stir together. While stirring, gradually pour in the warm oil and honey, and stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated.

  3. Spread the granola on an un?oiled baking sheet. In a preheated 325 degree oven, bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and, prevent clumping stir (I like clusters of granola so I did not stir). Remove from oven and cool. Then store.

  4. Yields: 8 cups

  5. Hands-on-time: 15 minutes

  6. Baking time: 30 minutes
