Waffles (Makes 7.5 Waffles with 4 squares - each square one serving)

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Waffles

3 cups flour
4 t baking powder
1 t salt
3 T sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil

Recipe Directions for Mom's Waffles

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into large bowl

  2. In small bowl or large measuring cup, beat egg yolks and add milk and oil - add to dry ingredients, mixing well

  3. In separate bowl beat egg whites until they are stiff but not dry

  4. Fold egg whites into batter, just until mixed - do not beat in with a mixer

  5. Bake in hot waffle iron
