Use whole wheat spaghetti noodles.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Spaghetti

3/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cups crushed tomatoes
12 ounce tomato paste
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1 lb ground beef
1 lb italian sausage

Recipe Directions for Mom's Spaghetti

Cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender. Stir in all other ingredients except meat. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Add meat and simmer 3 hours.
