a yummy home made salsa recipe from my mother in law

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Salsa

20 cups tomato, chopped
8 cups onions, chopped
3 large green peppers, chopped
7 banana peppers, chopped
8 jalapeno peppers, chopped
5 tablespoons salt
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
4 tablespoons Chili powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 cup cornstarch

Recipe Directions for Mom's Salsa

  1. put all in a kettle & bring to a boil stirring often. Mix 1 cup corn starch with 1 Cup of purreed tomato juice. Mix until a smooth paste. Add to bo8iling mixture and simmer 20 minutes on low heat. Ladel into jars.

  2. Makes 8-9 quart size jars
