Mom's version of rugulla, shortbread with jam kinda.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Rugulla

2 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
1 cup Butter
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 large Egg, Yolk
6 tbsp Red Raspberry Preserves
1 cup, chopped Pecans

Recipe Directions for Mom's Rugulla

  1. cream butter with sugar

  2. add egg yolks and cream some more

  3. Add flour, mix.

  4. Add pecans to mix.

  5. Butter the 6 x 9 shallow pan.

  6. press half the dough into the pan.

  7. spread the jam on top of the dough.

  8. spread the rest of the dough on top of the jam.

  9. flatten the dough.

  10. Bake at 325 for 50-60 minutes.

  11. Cut into 40 pieces.
