2 tbsp chicken base
8 cups water
1 1/2 lb leftover cooked chicken breast, diced
4 cups leftover cooked rice
16 oz baby carrots, chopped
16 oz onion, chopped
255 g frozen turnip greens with diced turnip
8 cups water

Recipe Directions for Mom's Left Over Chicken and Rice Soup

  1. Mix base and water in large pot over medium-high heat.

  2. Add chicken, rice and veggies. Bring to a boil, adding more water until desired consistency is reached.

  3. Let simmer half an hour.

  4. Let rest to thicken or thicken by other means if thicker consistency is desired.
