Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Lasagna

1 pound lean ground beef
8 ounces lasagna noodles
2 tablespoons oil
8 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon parsley
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces part skim mozzarella
3/4 cup chopped onion
16 ounces canned tomatoes
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cups water
1 pound part skim ricotta
1 cup parmesan
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano

Recipe Directions for Mom's Lasagna

  1. Lightly brown beef and onion. Add tomatoes, paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic, pepper and oregano.

  2. Simmer 30 minutes. Meanwhile cook lasagna. Spread 1 cup sauce on bottom of pan (13x9x2) then alternate layers of lasagna , sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan. 2 layers. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
