This is my mom's wonderful recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's holiday dressing

4 cups Shawnee's best yellow corn meal
8 t baking powder
3 t salt
3 c skim milk
4 eggs
4 T flour (optional)
2 T green chilis peppers, chopped
4 T extra virgin olive oil to put in cornbread
4 T extra virgin olive oil to oil pan
2 stalk celery, chopped
2 med onions, chopped
20 cups chicken broth OR 2.5 QUARTS
11 oz cream of chicken soup
11 slices bread, toasted and crumbled
12 oz EVAPORATED MILK
2 c WATER
4 T sage
2 T salt
4 T pepper
2 lb whole chicken, cooked (by boiling) , deboned, skinned, and shredded

Recipe Directions for Mom's holiday dressing

Prepare cornbread with ingredients at the top. Directions are on the cornmeal package and also the recipe is on this website under shawnee mills cornbread. Boil onions and celery until soft. Drain. Mix all ingredients. Crumble the cornbread in the mix. Place in a large baking dish. Bake in a 400 degree oven until browned.
