2 cups skim milk
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp flour
2 lbs. potatoes
4 oz. gruyere cheese
2 cloves garlic
1/2 onion

Recipe Directions for Mom's Gratin

  1. Boil the potatoes

  2. Garlic and onions in oil

  3. Make a roux with the oil

  4. Milk to thicken, salt and pepper to taste

  5. Roux on the potatoes

  6. Cheese on top

  7. In the oven (350) until bubbly and brown
