Simple recipe - lower the sodium by using a low sodium tomato sauce - lower the fat with a less fat ground beef (this recipe based on 80/20 meat)

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Goulash

16 oz Beef, Ground, 80% Lean Meat / 20% Fat, Crumbles
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 tsp Pepper, Black
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1/2 cup Macaroni
1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
3/4 cup Tomato Sauce

Recipe Directions for Mom's Goulash

  1. Brown hamburger & onion - drain

  2. Add 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp salt, & 1/2 tsp pepper, 2 C water and 1/2 C elbow macaroni

  3. Simmer 20 min

  4. Add 1/2 C water & sm can tomato sauce
