best w/ peaches, but any fruit works

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Cobbler

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup skim milk
9 large peaches
2 cups sugar
2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Mom's Cobbler

mix dry ingredients. cut in shortening. add milk. roll out to about 1/4 in thick. fold up and place in 9x13 baking pan. unfold & let extra dough hang over side. Add peaches. Fold dough over peaches. Disolve 2 cups sugar in 2 cups water. pour over peaches. bake at 350 for about 1 hour.
