Recipe Ingredients for Mom's chocolate chip cookies

8 oz All Vegetable Shortening
8 oz Margarine, Regular, Hard, Corn (Hydrogenated And Regular)
12 oz Light Brown Sugar
12 oz Pure Granulated Sugar
4 large Egg, Whole
2 tsp Vanilla Extract, Imitation, Alcohol
3 2/5 oz Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
4 1/2 cups Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 tsp Pure Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt, Table
12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
4 oz Chopped Pecans

Recipe Directions for Mom's chocolate chip cookies

  1. Cream shortening/marg

  2. Add wet ingredients

  3. Sift all dry ingredients

  4. Add by cupsfuls to wet beating thoroughly with electric mixer

  5. Beat in by hand the chips and nuts

  6. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10-12 min. Let sit on cookie sheet for a min before removing to rack to cool. Makes 6 dozen @ 159 cal ea.
