A delicious yummy chili from my mom. Healthier version! Made with turkey instead of beaf.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Chili

1 cup onion
3/4 cup green pepper
1/4 cup celery
2 clove garlic
1 lb ground turkey
15 oz diced tomato
1 T cumin
1 T chili powder
15 oz tomato sauce
45 oz chili beans

Recipe Directions for Mom's Chili

  1. Dice the vegetables

  2. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and add turkey.

  3. Cook for a few minutes then add vegetables. Cook until brown.

  4. Drain the excess liquid. Add spices, one can of diced tomatoes, a little water, and salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes.

  6. Combine with the beans and tomato sauce in a large pot. Simmer for a few hours.

  7. Feel free to add more chili powder or cumin as needed.
