My Mom's breakfast granola. Makes approximately 11 cups. She puts in approx. 2 cups of fruits and nuts combined, switching the ratios and types up each time she makes it.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Breakfast Granola

8 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
8 serving sunflower seeds, raw (Stock
0.67 cup, pitted, chopped Dates, Domestic, Natural And Dry
1/2 cup (not packed) Raisins, Seedless
0.33 cup, halves Apricots, Dried, Sulfured, Uncooked
3 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
4 tablespoon Kretschmer Wheat Germ, Regular
0.75 cup Honey, Strained Or Extracted
0.25 cup Vegetable Oil, Canola

Recipe Directions for Mom's Breakfast Granola

  1. Mix dry ingredients together (but keep fruit separate)

  2. Heat honey and oil together and whisk until emulsified.

  3. Combine honey mixture and dry mixture thoroughly. (Mom uses 2 large bowls for this).

  4. Spread onto 2 cookie sheets and bake in oven @ 350oF for 5-10 min, then remove and flip over and mix up granola and put back in for another 5-10 min.

  5. Remove from oven and dried sprinkle fruit on top.

  6. Cool.
