Made with skim milk and no butter - seems sinful but ENJOY! This recipe is doubled; bake in water bath for 90 minutes at 350 - WILL puff up, so if don't want over-browned, lay foil over top - don't crimp down edges!

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Bread Pudding

12 thick slices white bread
4 large eggs
4 1/2 cups skim milk
1 cup raisins
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Mom's Bread Pudding

  1. cut bread in 1 inch cubes; place in baking dish - if you like it chewy on the edges, use a shallower pan; but must have a water bath it will fit in. top with raisins - be sure some filter down into the middle.

  2. whisk eggs, milk, brown sugar and cinnamon, pour over bread - top with extra sprinkle of cinnamon and the white sugar. bake 350 90 minutes.
