16 bean soup to Make in Crock pot each serving is 1 cup use any comb of beans or 16 oz pkg dried bean mix

Recipe Ingredients for Moms Bean Soup

8 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
4 oz pinto beans, dried
4 oz black beans, dried
2 oz peas, split green, dried
2 oz kidney beans,red, dried
4 oz great northern beans, dried
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup onion, chopped
6 cups water
30 1/2 oz whole kernel corn, undrained
2 1/2 oz Taco seasoning, low sodium
56 oz diced tomatoes, low sodium
4 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Moms Bean Soup

  1. In a large crockpot, combine all ingredients EXCEPT Tomatoes and sugar (tomatoes will prevent beans from softening) Mix well

  2. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours or until beans are tender

  3. Add Tomatoes and Sugar. Mix well

  4. Cover and cook and additional 15 - 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated
