Basic biscuits, perfect with chicken and gravy.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom's Baking Powder Biscuits

2 cups flour
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions for Mom's Baking Powder Biscuits

  1. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixed into small crumbs.

  2. Add enough milk to make a soft dough.

  3. Roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter.

  4. Bake in preheated 400F oven for 12-15 minutes.
