Delicious use for over-ripened bananas.

Recipe Ingredients for Mom Thomas's Banana Bread

1 c crisco
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c bananas (ripe & mashed)
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 c pecans, chopped

Recipe Directions for Mom Thomas's Banana Bread

  1. Cream sugar and Crisco until fluffy.

  2. Add eggs (one at a time). Beat well after each.

  3. Stir in bananas.

  4. Add all dry ingredients (a little at a time). Mix well.

  5. Stir in chopped nuts.

  6. Pour into Bread pans that have been well greased.

  7. Sprinkle top with sugar.

  8. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min.
