very basic chili, simple - easy, adjustable to anyones taste. add less water to make dip/ topping

Recipe Ingredients for Mom (Sandi's) Chili

1 lb Ground Beef (90/10)
2 tbsp. Tomato Paste
14 1/2 oz Diced Tomatoes, Italian style, not drained
15 1/2 oz Kidney Beans, not drained
1/2 small Onion, Diced
1 small Green Bell Pepper, diced
1/2 tbsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tbsp. red Pepper Flakes
2 cups Water

Recipe Directions for Mom (Sandi's) Chili

  1. in large pot, cook hamburg , salt & peppered to taste (optional), until just browned.

  2. drain hamburg and rise with hot water, set aside

  3. in same pot - cook onions and pepper until tender (use cooking spray if u need to)

  4. add hamburg back to pot and mix with onions & peppers

  5. add 1 cup of water and the remaning ingrediants - bring to a boil then reuduce to simmer

  6. cook on low several hours, adding the reminging water as needed.
