Recipe Ingredients for Modified Kitchen Sink Cookies

8 tbs unsalted butter
8 tbs vegetable oil
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1 cup applesauce
4 egg whites
4 tsp vanilla
2 cups whole wheat flour
2/3 cup white flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup hazelnuts
4 oz dark chocolate

Recipe Directions for Modified Kitchen Sink Cookies

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 deg F

  2. Combine butter, oil, sugar and honey in the bowl of a stand mixer on high speed stopping occasionally to scrape down bowl, until mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 mins.

  3. Add applesauce, egg whites and vanilla and mix to combine

  4. Spray 1 baking sheet with cooking spray

  5. Using 1 tbsp cookie dough at a time, roll into balls abd place 2 in apart on baking sheet. Press down slightly with the palm of your hand to flatten slightly

  6. Bake for 12 - 14 mins ubtil lightly browned but still soft

  7. Revove from oven and cool on racks
