A lower calorie version of an old favorite for us dieters! It omits the pasta for lower carbs.

Recipe Ingredients for Mock Tuna Casserole

3 1/2 oz chunk light tuna
1/4 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cups frozen green peas
1 oz low fat cheese
1 pepper
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
1 salt
1/8 cup canned mushrooms

Recipe Directions for Mock Tuna Casserole

  1. Mix all ingredients except cheese and breadcrumbs

  2. pour into individual casserole or oven safe dish. Top with cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 till bubbly. You may stir cheese into mixture and then just top with breadcrumbs if you prefer. Eat by itself or over a slice of high fiber or whole grain bread toast.
