Easy desert using frozen mixed berries

Recipe Ingredients for Mixed Berry Cobbler

500 grams Fresh Frozen Mixed Berries
1 Apple Apples
1/4 cup Enriched Unbleached White Flour
0.25 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
0.5 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
2 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
1 cup Milk, Buttermilk, Fluid, Cultured, Lowfat
1 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
0.5 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
0.33 cup Butter
1 large Egg, Whole
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1.75 cup Wheat Flour, White, Bread, Enriched
0.5 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
0.125 tsp Leavening Agents, Baking Soda

Recipe Directions for Mixed Berry Cobbler

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

  2. Prepare fruit. Chop apple. Place mixed berries and apple into prepared baking dish. Cut up any large pieces. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 c flour, 1/4 c brown sugar, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Mix into berries. Sprinkle with 2 T lemon juice.

  3. Make topping. Melt butter. Remove 2T ob remaining brown sugar amd mix with 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Set aside.

  4. Whisk remaining brown sugar, butter, egg, buttermilk and vanilla.

  5. Withoug stirring, add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir with a fork just until moistened. Batter will be lumpy.

  6. Pour topping over fruit, spreading gently to cover evenly. Sprinkle with reserved brown sugar mixture.

  7. Bake 60-70 minutes or until fruit is bubbling and tester insered in centre of topping comes out clean. Let stand at least 5 minutes before serving.
