Recipe Ingredients for Mixed Bean boil

16 oz chick peas
16 oz black beans
16 oz lentils
28 oz crushed tomatoes
24 oz water
2 cups onion, chopped
2 cups carrots, chopped
2 cups tomato, cubed
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup barley

Recipe Directions for Mixed Bean boil

  1. pre-soak chick peas and black beans overnight

  2. rinse all beans and add all ingredients bring to boil and simmer until tender

  3. Flavor with Indian of Spanish spices such as coriander, peppers, Turmeric and a few bay leaves.

  4. Salt to taste

  5. serve over brown rice, quinoa or couscous
