Recipe Ingredients for Mitsu Manju

1 egg
6 1/2 tsp brown sugar
3/4 tbs granulated sugar
1 1/2 tbs butter
2 3/4 tbs honey
1 1/2 tbs condensed milk
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp water
3/4 cup flour
16 tbs Beans, Adzuki, Canned, Sweetened

Recipe Directions for Mitsu Manju

  1. Add the eggs and both kinds of sugar in a bowl and mix. In another bowl, add slightly melted butter with honey and condensed milk.

  2. Warm the egg mixture until it is not cold to the touch - about your body temperature - and mix into the butter mixture.

  3. Sift dry ingredients and add to the wet mixture. Add in water. Let the dough sit for 20 minutes. Add in more flour if the dough isn't firm enough.

  4. On a floured board, divide the dough into 16 equal pieces. Flatten one piece in the palm of your hand, and drop a tablespoonful of anko (the adzuki bean paste) into the center of the disk. Wrap the dough around the ball of an.

  5. Distribute the manju about 3 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 320 degrees F for about 15 minutes.
