Something I made on a whim. 1/21/11

Recipe Ingredients for Misc Bean Soup

1 cup navy beans
1/4 cup lentils
1 cup pinto beans
1/2 cup black beans
1 onion, diced
2 carrots, chopped
2 stalk celery, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
7 1/2 oz chicken rice , whole box
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp dried onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp sage
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp honey
10 cups water

Recipe Directions for Misc Bean Soup

  1. Combine ingredients in slow cooker

  2. Cover with boiling water (to give it a head start).

  3. Cook on high 5.5-6.5 hours.
