Recipe Ingredients for Mini Tart Shells

1/2 cup wheat bran, crude
20 almonds
2 tablespoons milled flax seed
2 tablespoons smart balance light
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Recipe Directions for Mini Tart Shells

  1. Melt the Smart Balance in a medium sized glass mixing bowl. Add the wheat bran, flaxseed, almonds, and maple syrup. Stir till well combined.

  2. Press 1/4 of the mixture into each of 4 mini tart pans and bake at 325 for about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on a rack about 10 minutes. Carefully run a thin bladed knife around the tart, then remove to finish cooling on rack. Fill with your choice of filling and serve.
