Recipe Ingredients for Mini steamed buns

190 ml whole-grain wheat flour
142 1/2 ml water
4.93 ml baking powder

Recipe Directions for Mini steamed buns

  1. UK measurements are 2/3 cups flour, up to 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon baking powder.

  2. Preheat a steamer to medium-high heat.

  3. Sift together the dry ingredients in a bowl and then create a well shape in the middle.

  4. Add the water and mix the dough so that the ingredients are completely moistened. Take care not to overmix.

  5. Divide the dough into 4. Shape a piece of dough into a ball. If you wish, now is the time to add fillings - flatten the ball with your palms, spoon a small amount of filling onto the middle, wrap it up and round up the ball. Turn up the steamer to high heat.

  6. Cut 4 small squares of baking parchment and gently adhere them individually underneath the moist buns.

  7. Steam the buns at medium heat for 15 minutes.

  8. Keep the buns in a dry covered container in the fridge for a maximum of 2 days.
