Penne, zucchini and mushrooms in ragu pasta sauce. I sometimes throw in some yellow squash and peppers if I have them.

Recipe Ingredients for Mini Penne and Veggies with Ragu Sauce

737 grams Robusto! Pasta Sauce
6 serving Barilla Mini Penne
1 large Squash, Summer, Zucchini, Includes Skin
1 small Onions
1 cup, diced Mushrooms, Portabella
1 serving (Gem) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 serving Premium Selection Italian Seasoning
1 dash Salt, Table
1 dash Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for Mini Penne and Veggies with Ragu Sauce

  1. Make penne according to package directions. Drain and put back in pan and set aside.

  2. Heat oil in skillet. Chop zucchini, onions and mushrooms into bite size or smaller pieces. Place in skillet and cook about 5 min or until onions start to get tender.

  3. Pour in Ragu sauce. Add italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Let it cook down for about 10-15 min, until the sauce thickens a little and the veggies are done.

  5. Pour sauce into the penne pan and mix well. If penne got cold while sauce cooked just reheat before serving.
