Mini Burgers On Whole Wheat Recipe

Six little burger patties served on two slices of whole wheat bread. Recipe from Food Magazine and slightly altered by me. Obviously you can make the patties bigger or serve them on burger buns, but I was just working with what I had, and they were reeeeeally good.

Recipe Ingredients for Mini Burgers on Whole Wheat

1 tsp worchestershire sauce
1/2 (36g) small onion
85 g lean ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 tsp mustard
4 g weetabix or bread crumbs
1 large egg white
1 1/2 tbsp relish
1 1/2 tbsp ketchup
15 g cress
2 slices whole wheat bread

Recipe Directions for Mini Burgers on Whole Wheat

  1. Mix together worchestershire, 1/4 onion (minced), garlic (minced), mustard and egg white in a small bowl.

  2. Add bread crumbs/weetabix to the mix and add to beef. Mix together with your hands thoroughly, even though it feel repulsive.

  3. Place patties on baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.

  4. Bake in pre-heated oven (375 degrees) for roughly 15 minutes or until middle is no longer pink.

  5. Serve like a sandwich, with toppings of your choice. Mine are pepper grass, onion, ketchup, relish and mayo.
