Recipe Ingredients for Mince pies

600 grams mincemeat
1 lb plain flour
6 oz icing sugar
12 oz margarine
2 tablspoons orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest

Recipe Directions for Mince pies

  1. make pastry chill in fridge for 30 minutes, with a pastry cutter cut out 24 rounds, grease a yorkshire pudding tray, place them inside fill with mincemeat and then make the lids by cutting out 24 rounds using a smaller pastry cutter.

  2. Place in a preheated oven gas mark 5 for 25 minutes or until golden brown and pastry is cooked.

  3. Leave in tins for 10 minutes to cool before removing them out and onto a wire rack.

  4. Eat right away or cool completely and store in airtight container or freeze.
